Social Proof (User Reviews)
During my research, I came across user reviews that provide valuable insights into the XK21‘s performance and usability:
- “I purchased this keyboard because I wanted to have an attached number pad on the left. I am left-handed and this keyboard is making me rethink some things because it is truly left-handed. The arrow keys, delete, home, page up/down etc. are on the left – I’m not used to that. Just when I start remembering the arrow keys & delete button are on the left, I have to use my laptop keyboard and that muscle memory takes over again…I like how quiet the keyboard is, I type hard (learned to type on a manual typewriter and never got over it) but I barely hear the keys. I did need to purchase a keyboard stand to raise it to a level I prefer but that’s my only complaint (& it’s not even much of a complaint).”
- “After my Logitech MXKeys started losing its buttons (a common issue), and being left-handed (though I play sports right-handed), I grabbed this to see if it would fill the void. Like most lefties, we grew up with standard keyboards and adapted. I’m finding that this one has a lot to get used to since it feels cramped even though it’s standard size overall: the keys do not have much spacing around them, and the CAPS LOCK key is far too easy to push due to this. I keep hitting the wrong keys or multiples on one stroke. I’ve also had to move the keyboard farther to the left to somewhat alleviate the caps lock problem. Sometimes keys don’t work immediately if hit from an angle, requiring me to hit them 2 or 3 times. I truly cannot recommend this keyboard for anyone – left-handed or not – mainly due to the too-big keys. Also, the Command and Function keys are placed in reverse compared to Apple keyboards, and use only words to ID them – not the Apple icons, so that is confusing. Logitech did the same thing with the key layout, but at least they used the icons. The Bluetooth is stable. It didn’t take too long to charge. So, if you can get past the very-little-space-around-keys typing issue and are fully left-handed, this might work for you at the current $55 price… but wait for a discount. FYI, don’t count on any manufacturer warranty after the Amazon return period since the company has no US business presence.”
In Conclusion
The ProtoArc XK21 Left-Handed Wireless Keyboard offers a tailored solution for left-handed individuals seeking an ergonomic and functional typing experience. With its specialized layout, slim design, and wireless connectivity, the XK21 caters to the unique needs of left-handed users.
